This walk is Easedale Tarn, Grasmere, a moderate walk with a steep climb at the end, up to the tarn, total ascent just over 900 feet.
The walk up to Easedale Tarn follows the western side of Easedale Beck, and we return down the east side of the beck. There is a good, rocky track going up, and coming down it can be boggy in places after rain. Total distance is approximately 5.5 miles. If it is a clear day, there are beautiful views for most of the walk.
We will meet at the Red Bank Rd car park in Grasmere (LA22 9PU) to start the walk at 10.00 am. Travelling time approximately one hour (38 miles) There is a charge of £6.60 for 6 hours, £8 for 10 hours at this carpark.

Booking is ESSENTIAL. You must book directly with the leader (usually by 8.00 pm on the Friday prior to the walk) as once the walk is fully booked there will be a waiting list. Also if you turn up on the day without booking you will be refused on the walk. If you have booked on a walk and find you are unable to attend please let the walk leader know as soon as possible so that the place is available to someone else.
